Oakland Temple Visit

While up in the Bay Area we took the kids up to see the temple where we got married 8 years ago!
The Oakland Stake was having a 75th anniversary "party" at the Interstake Center and we went there first. They had lots of different booths that represented different cultures and their food. The stake is very diverse and this celebrated that. There were also some great displays with photos etc through the years of different things the stake did together.
We then took some pictures of the temple and then went over to the visitors center for a limited-time display of artifacts of early Mormon settlers of the area (The Brooklyn - Sam Brannon etc) We were blessed with clear skies so we could see a great sunset. We also brought Billy & Alex with us and we all had a great time. We stopped for frozen yogurt on our way home. I love vacations! (if you can call this a vacation - super fast weekend for a funeral)
I can't believe we got such great smiles!!

I know, funky pic of me but it is the best one of the kids and that's what really counts on this blog
