Warm Winter Wishes

Shelbie's elementary school had their Holiday program "Warm Winter Wishes" on Thursday. The Kindergartener's sang 4 songs. Some song about Santa coming tonight, two Hannukah songs, and Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer. That was my favorite. They sang that one twice...the 1st time was just regular then the 2nd time they added the fun little sayings that repeat (ie. like a lightbulb). All the kinder students made Reindeer tshirts with a foot print as the face and their two hand prints as their antlers. It turned out really cute! You can kind of see it in the picture below. They had a really fun class party were they made jingle bell bracelets, decorated a sugar cookie, and made a Christmas tree out of a sugar cone and green frosting and sprinkles. The next day, Friday (today), which was the last day of school, they made gingerbread houses. They used empty milk cartons (individual size from school lunches) and put the frosting on there and then used graham crackers as the walls etc. Then they made a scene and put their Christmas tree that they made the previous day out in the yard of the gingerbread house. So fun!

Shelbie is in the second standing row from the front and the 7th person in from the left

Here they are singing their songs again for the parents at her class party (some of them couldn't come to the program earlier)

Shelbie's gingerbread scene (we had to take a pic before we took it home in case it didn't make it to the car or the house)
