Great Neighbors

We have the best neighbors living in the other side of our duplex. Rich works at Villa Nova in the late night hours playing the piano. We never see him unless we come home late and happen to be outside at the same time. Even though we don't see him often he is so nice and pleasant when we do. He is very musically talented and so fun to hear him having practices with a band occasionally and he plays the piano so naturally and beautifully. He doesn't even use sheet music when we saw him play. We always see Alice who is coming and going and she loves the kids and they love her. Scott and I are so blessed to have them because they have helped us so much from giving us a cup of sour cream when we were out to staying with Scotty and Shelbie while I went with Sydnie in the ambulance to the hospital which made her very late to work.

So, Shelbie is learning about lots of different animals right now in school and she said the best thing the other day. Out of the blue she told me that Rich is nocturnal. He's nocturnal because he sleeps in the day (I'm always, always telling her to not to this or that because Rich is sleeping next door or behind that wall or whatever, and we don't want to wake him up) and works in the night.
